Birds of prey and Vultures

Accipitridae (Vultures, Hawks and Eagles): Large family of birds of prey in the broadest sense of the word, distinct from the Falcons.

Falconidae (Falcons): Birds of prey with long, pointed wings and long tails. Excellent flyers. In some species, females are significantly larger than males. They are characterised by killing their prey with a bite to the neck. Falcons grasp food with one claw. They are usually silent, except when disturbed or during courtship. Most species have a beard stripe.
