Nuthatches and Treecreepers

Sittidae (Nuthatches): Small, compact birds with short tails and sturdy legs with strong claws and pointed beaks. They can walk up and down tree trunks.

Certhiidae (Tree Creepers): Small insect-eating birds that, like nuthatches and rock creeps, climb up vertical surfaces (trees). Fairly weak flyers, usually only over short distances. Found only where there are trees.
