Coenagrionidae (Bluets): This is the largest family of damselflies both in Europe and worldwide. There are two groups: one with nape spots and a rounded front, and one without nape spots but with a ridge in that area. Bluets are (relatively) small damselflies with colourless wings and a diamond-shaped pterostigma (a thickened and strikingly coloured spot on the wing)
